A good product, brilliant marketing and a fantastic staff team should be enough to build a great business but most of us know there’s another element that can make all the difference – community.
The network of connections that exponentially multiply our reach to new customers and markets, introduce us to potential suppliers, and inspire us to innovate and create. As the Engineering and Manufacturing Network for the North East, our focus is on creating opportunities for growth, collaboration and support across the sector. EMCON is the highlight event for this, showcasing excellence in the sector and creating a space for connection, innovation, and growth.
RETURN OF THE SHOW
After a brief hiatus, EMCON returns in 2027 for its 19th edition, under the stewardship of Kerina Clark and Paul Sun.
Both Kerina and Paul sit on the Engineering & Manufacturing Network (EMN) Board and bring a wealth of experience in events, business and the North East engineering and manufacturing community.
Kerina was formerly Centre Director at the Xcel Centre (which later became Glow), where EMCON was held for more than five years. She was also founding Director and Chair of Aycliffe Business Park Community for over a decade. She led the development and delivery of the events that established and shaped Aycliffe Business Park community.
Alongside owning Stanley-based engineering firm Hiatco, Paul runs London-based events agency Pink Buddha and previously served as EMCON Show Director from 2015 to 2019.
Together, Kerina and Paul are taking EMCON into its next chapter, building on almost two decades of the show while introducing new ideas, experiences and opportunities for exhibitors and visitors alike.
