Tom Flude, co-founder of Engineers Insight, said: “Through the Eye was created to give the amazing people in manufacturing a platform to tell their stories. It’s not about what they sell, it’s about what makes them tick.

“We’re excited to now be taking the podcast ‘on the road’ and hosting Through the Eye at EMCON in front of a live audience!”

Ailsa Anderson, Director of Development at Engineering and Manufacturing Network, organiser of EMCON, commented: “Hosting a live podcast is a first for EMCON and we’re thrilled to have Engineers Insight on board with us this year.

“Professor Norbury is a well-known and highly respected figure in UK manufacturing who will bring a deep level of insight to EMCON.

“We can’t wait to hear him tell his story on the EMCON stage!”

EMCON, North East England’s engineering and manufacturing showcase, attracted more than 900 visitors and 120 exhibitors from North East England and beyond last year. 2024’s edition of EMCON will be held Rainton Arena in Houghton-le-Spring on September 12.
