One of the region’s fastest growing engineering software companies is returning to sponsor the show which has generated over £170,000 of sales for the firm.

Thornaby-based E-Max Systems, which provides manufacturing ERP software packages for companies across the world, has confirmed it will be one of EMCON’s bronze sponsors for the 2019 event.

It comes as the company revealed that, since exhibiting at EMCON, it has won several new customers as a direct result and generated over £170,000 of new business.

In addition, E-Max Systems is also negotiating with three further companies which it was introduced to in 2018 and is hoping to add these businesses to its portfolio of clients.

Jason Pritchard, sales director at E-Max Systems, said: “EMCON has been a fantastic platform for us and has helped us generate business worth over £170,000 to the company.

“That, alongside the work we’re hoping to land after exhibiting last year, has helped our business portfolio grow and really has introduced our brand to a significant audience of potential customers.

E-Max Systems designs and develops in-house an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, which is designed specifically for manufacturing and engineering SMEs. The system manages all the critical elements of manufacturing.

E-Max Systems, which is based at Redheugh House, employs 24 people and is planning for continued growth in 2019.

Ben Gilhespy, Operations Director of EMN, which organises EMCON, said: “Our event has been a fantastic income generator for E-Max Systems, with the company winning over £170,000 of new business which is a fantastic return on investment.

“The E-Max team are a fantastic example of what can be achieved with the right attitude toward exhibitions. They exhibit a friendliness and professionalism which draws attendees to their stand, the success of which can be clearly seen. E-Max Systems maximise their investment in the day and recognise that interaction with attendees is critical for success.

“Having them return as bronze sponsor really backs up the value they place on our event and for us, they’re the perfect advocate of what our event can do for those businesses that attend.”

This year’s event is being held slightly earlier than usual, on Thursday, October 10, at the Xcel Centre in Newton Aycliffe. Alongside Stadler Rail UK, Jackson Hogg Recruitment has confirmed it is returning as delivery partner while Business Durham maintains its gold sponsorship status.

Hundreds of people attended last year’s event, with over 100 companies exhibiting and several themed sessions held throughout the day. Stadler Rail UK was the event’s inaugural headline sponsor with Business Durham and RM Manufacturing the gold sponsors.
